Overview

Scrollix is a desktop application. It runs entirely on your own computer. Scrollix LLC operates no servers, no database, and no cloud storage that holds your data — we keep no copy of anything you create in the App.

Because we hold no copy of your data, there is no deletion request to submit to us. You delete your data directly, and it is permanently gone. The steps below show you exactly where that data lives and how to remove it.

1. Delete Your Local Scrollix Data

All of your Scrollix data — your account, your Instagram access tokens, your posts, your schedules, and your logs — is stored in a single folder on your computer.

macOS

  1. Quit Scrollix completely (Cmd + Q).
  2. Open Finder, then press Cmd + Shift + G.
  3. Enter: ~/Library/Application Support/Scrollix
  4. Move that entire Scrollix folder to the Trash, then empty the Trash.
  5. To remove the App itself, drag Scrollix from your Applications folder to the Trash.

Windows

  1. Quit Scrollix completely.
  2. Press Win + R, type %APPDATA%, and press Enter.
  3. Locate the Scrollix folder.
  4. Delete that entire folder, then empty the Recycle Bin.
  5. To remove the App itself, uninstall Scrollix via Settings → Apps → Installed apps.

Deleting this folder permanently removes your Scrollix account, your stored Instagram access tokens, every post and schedule you created, and all local logs.

2. Delete Media From Your Own Google Cloud Storage Bucket

Scrollix uploads your images and videos to a Google Cloud Storage bucket that you own and configure during onboarding, using your own Google Cloud account. That bucket is yours. Scrollix LLC has no access to it and cannot read, modify, or delete anything inside it.

  1. Sign in to the Google Cloud Console with your own Google account.
  2. Open Cloud Storage and select the bucket you configured for Scrollix.
  3. Delete the media objects you want removed, or delete the entire bucket.

Because you control this bucket, you may also set your own retention or lifecycle rules to delete media automatically.

3. Revoke Scrollix's Access to Your Instagram Account

Revoking access immediately invalidates the Instagram access token stored on your device, so Scrollix can no longer connect to your Instagram account.

  1. Open the Instagram app or go to instagram.com.
  2. Go to Settings and privacy → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
  3. Find Scrollix in the list and select Remove.

Posts already published to Instagram are content on your own Instagram account. To remove those, delete them directly in Instagram — Scrollix cannot delete published posts for you.

4. Data Held by Third-Party Services

Scrollix sends limited data to third-party services to provide its features. Each is governed by that provider's own privacy policy:
