Windows may show security warnings. Here's why, and what to do.

Scrollix is digitally signed by Scrollix LLC through Microsoft's own code-signing service. However, Windows sometimes still warns about newly released software versions.

You may see up to two prompts:

  1. In your browser, while downloading. Your browser may say the file "isn't commonly downloaded." Choose to keep it. In Edge, click the ⋯ next to the download → Keep → Keep anyway. In Chrome, click Keep if prompted.
  2. When you open the installer. Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Click More info, check that the publisher line reads Scrollix LLC, then click Run anyway.

That publisher line is your real security check. It comes from our digital signature and cannot be forged. If it says anything other than Scrollix LLC, do not run the file — email support@scrollix.app instead.

Open-Source Licences

Scrollix bundles FFmpeg and x264 as separate executables for video processing. Both are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2. The full licence texts are installed with the app.
